HOW TO REQUEST TOURS, PRESENTATIONS, AND PROGRAMS
All requests (fax, phone, or email) for Museum tours or programs, Outreach presentations, or Traditional Arts presentations are processed through the Assistant Education Coordinator. A request is accepted or declined based on availability of staff and is prioritized on a first requested, first honored basis. All requests require a signed confirmation by the requestor for our scheduling system.
When requesting any types of programming, please state:
Type of program you are requesting
Name of the group or event
Length of time
Number of children and adults attending
Any additional activities
The contact person will be sent a confirmation form with all the tour details. The form needs to be reviewed, signed, and sent back by fax to confirm the details of the tour/presentation/program. For groups requesting an Outreach presentation for special events, school visits, or festivals, please send back any check-in information along with the confirmation form.
TOUR DEPOSIT FEE & CANCELLATIONS
Groups are required to place a 30 % deposit to secure the date of their tour. Deposits can be paid by check and mailed in or paid by credit card over the phone. Without a deposit, the date of a tour is only held for eight business days from the date the tour request is made, during which time the group can review the confirmation form. The deposit counts toward the total admission price with the balance due the date of the tour. All deposits are nonrefundable.
NOTE: For all guided tours, visitors should be aware that arriving more than 15 minutes late, without notification, may reduce the length or content of your tour, due to other tours that may also be scheduled for that day.
