Want to learn more about Seminole history and culture but can't make it out to the Museum with your school, group, or organization? Consider one of our outreach programs! Raising public awareness about the history, culture and collections of the Seminole Tribe of Florida is an important part of the Museum’s mission. The Outreach Program offers in-depth presentations in your neighborhood. Our presenters typically serve the immediate area of Southern Florida (Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Hendry, Glades, Collier, Lee, Okeechobee, Charlotte, Highlands, St. Lucie and Martin counties), but are occasionally available to do presentations outside of these areas, depending upon the request. Fees apply. A variety of topics are covered, including Seminole history and culture, patchwork clothing, Everglades wildlife, chickees, Seminole foods and weaponry.
We also set up a booth at many festivals and events throughout the state of Florida. If you see the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki staff, please stop by and say hello. We are always happy to share a bit of Seminole history with you!
