Big Cypress Ceremonial Grounds

Ceremonial Grounds

At the midpoint of the boardwalk the visitor can take a break at our re-created ceremonial grounds. Here you will see a traditional meeting place for political and religious events. In the center is an area for playing stickball, a traditional game for numerous tribes of the Southeast. Take the opportunity to stroll through various chickees and see how traditional Seminole canoes are carved. At this point, bathroom facilities and concessions are also available.
